As a Lead Maintenance Engineer your duties will be: -
Â
- Carry out hands-on mechanical maintenance and fault finding (electrical experience is desirable).
- Develop and manage preventive maintenance programmes.
- Lead and coordinate all planned and reactive maintenance activities.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults, including PLC-controlled equipment were applicable.
- Lead and support the maintenance team, reducing downtime and improving equipment reliability.
- Maintain maintenance records and ensure compliance with Health and Safety requirements.
- Source equipment, spare parts, and maintenance supplied as required.
- Support, coach, and develop maintenance team members.
Â
The successful Lead Maintenance Engineer will have the following skills: -Â
Â
- Proven maintenance experience within a manufacturing, chemical or process environment.
- Strong mechanical skills with electrical knowledge (PLC experience would be advantageous).
- Experience leading and supervising a maintenance team.
- Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Competent IT skills for maintaining maintenance records.
