This to work as an Early Help Worker, and you will need experience of doing this role.Â

We are recruiting for experienced Children’s Social Worker in the Reading area.Â
This to work as an Early Help Worker, and you will need experience of doing this role.Â
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:Â
- Holding a caseload and acting as the Family help Lead Practitioner for familiesÂ
- Overseeing and progressing outcome focused plans with the support of your social work qualified manager.Â
- Delivering direct work and evidence-based interventions with children, young people and parentsÂ
- Facilitating Child in need (CIN) meetings and supporting family led decision makingÂ
- Building strong, trusting relationships with families, including those who may be reluctant to engageÂ
- Work closely with multi agency partners including schools, health services and social careÂ
- Support social workers within the service to progress outcomes for children.Â
- Ensure the voice of the child is central to all plans and interventionsÂ
- Monitor and review progress to ensure positive, sustained outcomesÂ
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to service performance and qualityÂ

You’ll bring:Â
- A Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) and relevant parenting programme trainingÂ
- Experience working with children, young people and families in a support settingÂ
- Experience within a safeguarding and multi-agency environmentÂ
- Strong assessment, planning and organisational skillsÂ
- The ability to manage a caseload and prioritise effectivelyÂ
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skillsÂ
- Confidence delivering group work and structured interventionsÂ
- A resilient, solution-focused approach, particularly in challenging situationsÂ
- The ability to work collaboratively with partners and colleaguesÂ
- A strong commitment to inclusion, equality and continuous professional developmentÂ
