Job Description
Youth Justice Officer, PeterboroughÂ
£23ph Â
3 days within an office 2 days hybrid Sandmartin House Bittern Way Fletton Quays PE2 8TY · Manage a caseload of children who are in, or at risk of entering, the youth justice system · Complete assessments of risks, safety, needs and strengths · Create SMART intervention plans with children, families and partners · Deliver 1:1 and family-based interventions in homes, schools, community and office settings · Supervise children in line with National Standards and monitor compliance · Take enforcement action where required (non-compliance or increased risk) · Attend Youth Court, support children and provide written and verbal reports · Manage out-of-court disposals, complete triage and deliver diversion interventions · Work collaboratively with police, CSC, health, education and other partners · Participate in safeguarding and multi-agency risk processes · Support restorative justice and ensure victims’ voices are represented · Maintain accurate case records and update ChildView promptly · Work within Child-First principles and follow all YJS policies, procedures and legislation.Â
