Transport Supervisor

We are hiring for a Transport Supervisor to join our busy transport team in Cardiff!  
 
This is a great ongoing opportunity with a global supply chain. 
 
Responsibilities 

• Manage all third-party contractors whilst on site including subcontractors, agency, and maintenance providers 
• End of day checks, making sure all keys are securely stored 
• Communicating any absences, VOR etc. to the Planning Team 
• Enter Quality Events on the WTS System 
• Representing the Transport Operation in daily Ops calls 
• Act as the liaison point, becoming a single point of contact for any transport queries 
• Deputise for Transport Operations Manager in their absence 

 
The main skills we are looking for are:  

• Attention to detail  
• Time management  
• Great team player  
• Transport experience required, 1-2 years minimum 
• Previous supervisory experience also required 
• Excellent communication skills. This role is customer facing so must be presentable and confident. 
• Good understanding of Microsoft packages including Excel and Outlook 
• WTS experience is desirable 

 
You will be a vital part of the transport office team, dealing with drivers as well as the customer and your colleagues.   
Previous transport planning or transport admin experience is required.   
Full training is provided.  
  
Shift Details:   
Monday to Friday  
Day Shift – Flexible Start Times from 6am 
Salary £35k 
Successful candidates will be invited to initial interview over Teams and then progress face to face.
