Location: Bristol (BS30)

This is a great opportunity to join a well-established business specialising in generators and power solutions, in a Workshop Technician role based in Warmley, Bristol (BS30). The position involves supporting the engineering and rental teams with the preparation, testing, and repair of large generator sets.

Salary & Benefits:

• £26,500 - £28,000 per annum
• Overtime Rates: (Mon-Fri after 17:00 1.5x, Saturdays 1.5x, Sundays & Bank Holidays 2x)
• Monday–Friday: 08:00–17:00 
• Full time & Permanent role
• 40 Hours per week 
• Annual bonus scheme
• 23 days holiday + bank holidays (increasing with service)

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Support the servicing, maintenance, and general upkeep of large containerised generators (500 KVA and above) within the rental fleet, ensuring adherence to manufacturer service schedules
• Assist with general yard operations, including loading and unloading equipment
• Operate a forklift in the yard when required, following completion of appropriate training
• Record generator operating hours and fuel levels for units returned by customers or company transport when requested
• Support service and repair activities on equipment both on-site and off-site as required
• Drive company vehicles to collect and deliver parts and essential equipment when needed
• Participate in the engineers’ on-call rota (currently 1 week in 8), subject to successful training
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping, ensuring work areas remain clean and organised
• Comply with all company Health & Safety policies and procedures
• Follow ISO-aligned quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety management systems, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives

Experience & Skills required:

• Full UK Driving Licence
• Forklift Truck Licence
• Previous experience of working in a workshop environment
• Holder of CSCS Card
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
• Have a flexible approach to work as the needs of the business
